Pin Up 1 (of ?)

Inspired by a themed speedpaint session, masquerade. I intend to make more pin ups in a series that would fit together. I'm not very experienced with colour yet (2 or 3 attempts) but I feel I'm getting somewhere. I used ye ole underpainting technique to get lively skintones and no reference for anything, straight from the top of my head. I hope you like (and aren't offended).

This is my second finished painting. The way I see it her and her position in the scene are symbolic for justice awarenes and stuff that we strife for like balance and selfcontrol, all that jazz. But it's mainly for fun and exploration that I made this. Any critique and comments always welcome.

Thanks to all who helped me get the fnial touches in and rushed me on to actually get something done. =)

To make this I used 3 brushes that I made in painter, one bristle captured that doesn't apply too much colour for the most work and 2 detailing brushes.
No ref used whatsoever.

Thx for looking and hope you like it.
If it weren't for Rebecca Kimmel and her anatomy forum I would have never discovered that I'd be able to paint at all.
Well, I was pretty happy about it back then, since I didn't know I could do it.
First serious one was the same skull from up front.

Queen of Hearts, a dsg sketch gone nutters. :)

The idea is that the middle woman is the Queen of Hearts, the one on the left is the guardian and death like symbolism. The one tucked away hugging the Queen of Hearts is furtility and warmth of the feminine. I thought they should be in there, it kinda worked out in the end I guess.
Might do a colour version sooner or later
